Open Data Strategy Council is an organization that deliberate, coordinate, monitor and evaluate government’s major Open Data policies, plans and their implementation. Public data refers to all databases, electronic files etc. that government and public sector organizations have electronically created or acquired and are managing. The purpose of the Council is to boost people's convenience and create value and jobs through utilization of public data by private sector.

By opening up public data and thereby developing various services, Open Data Strategy Council will create new business opportunities and act as basis for quality of life and creative economy.
